The Boks win over their old enemies was equally important to South Africa as that of Bafana because now they have clinched the series.

Proud weekend for South Africa mega sports
Week 24 was a proud weekend for South African sport supporters as the national teams of rugby and soccer grabbed victories over England and Gabon respectively. The Bafana Bafana win is a cause for celebration as wins dont come more often in the way of the soccer national team. The friendly match win against the 2012 co-hosts may not be as important as the one they should have won against Ethiopia and Botswana as the two matches were world cup qualifiers but it managed to bring hope and pride back to the national team and could make Steve Kompela the permanent coach of Bafana.
The Boks win over their old enemies was equally important to South Africa as that of Bafana because now they have clinched the series.
